When I was a little boy walking to school in the ARCTIC chill of Michigan (scientists were predicting a new ice age at the time) I noticed that the same people who complained about the cold were complaining "it's too hot" a few months later.

So I made a vow: I would complain about cold weather but I will never complain about the weather being too hot or about anyone being too skinny. This fellow just didn't know how to compliment you (but I'm sure he intended to do so).
