Please don’t judge Christianity based on the stupid things people come up with (don’t we all say and think stupid things sometimes?). Peter Kreeft (who wrote some wonderful books and I’d start with a little one called “Jesus Shock”) says Christianity is perfect except for one thing: Christians. We are all sinners. All messed up in some way yet we are ALL children of God so God loves your daughter just as much or more than you do. St. John Paul the Great said we are all unique and unrepeatable, each created for a special purpose. There are no coincidences in Divine Providence, he adds. Actually, my church teaches God loves us all MORE than our parents do. I am excited to read about your journey.
