True! Worked in higher ed, journalsm and got close to politics watching this happen: Every American knows discrimination is wrong yet you can find daily examples of Establishment politicans/media figures looking down their nose at people who are less educated than they are.

Voters don't appreciate such snobish behavior. But it keeps happening: From Hillary calling whole classes Deplorable to Biden and commentators calling people other names.

You win people with love, not by calling them names.

The issue is compounded by the Gallup data (I've written about it myself) showing the vast majority of Americans have believed there is "widespread corruption'' in the federal govt for more than five years.

Trump should be considered part of the Establishment by now (he's the incumbent!) but the Establishment always attacks Trump (and is dubbed the Swamp) while Biden embraces his Establishment credentials which oddly leads people to feel they are on the outside and he is on the inside.

Biden could easily campaign as the kid from Scranton who repeated third grade twice but note we see the 1987 clip of him claiming he was at the top of his class. So many of the same mistakes are being repeated.
