Women not being priests is a big question going to the Last Supper (Jesus set up a Church where fathers were the first bishops who picked other fathers to succeed them - Jesus could have set it up differently since he clearly respected and was counseled by many women but that's how he did it) and Ephesians 5 (which says men and women need to submit to each other's authority but fathers need to be ready to fight and die for their families and even their enemies -- to literally go on a cross as Christ did). Father Mike Schmitz does a stellar job of talking about that in his Bible and Catechism in a Year podcasts.
It's hard for me to boil that big question into a single article (perhaps you will inspire me to, I'll have to mull that one more).
