Thanks for reading and commenting! I'm betting on a season 2 because of one key difference between the TV show and the book: the book ends with them in their 70s while the TV show ends just 20 years later.

Some key recent hints from Reid (in a recent interview with Variety): "I don't think I've ever wanted someone to go film my book exactly as it is. "Here's a new version of this story. Here are new versions of this song. Here's a new way to enjoy this. Hopefully, my readers will feel like they're finding the things that they loved about it, but also that it is something different. I like that it's different. I don't feel the need to compare them quite the same way as I have seen some people do."

Reid said she did require that the TV producers never allow Daisy and Camila to compete with each other. "I was clear that this is about women, first and foremost, that are not in competition with each other."

Asked about a second season, Reid told Variety: "I think we're in a really fortunate position where we have a story that is final, and has an ending that feels really good. I would only open that back up if it felt like there was a story here that we have to tell. Have I been thinking about what that is? I certainly have."

They've already asked the cast to come together for concerts but what about a season 2? Reid said . "To see the performances that you have from this cast, and specifically Riley [Keough] and Sam [Claflin], and be willing to walk away from that without asking yourself whether you could give them another opportunity to dig into these characters would be very silly. I'm not so stupid as to not recognize what we have in the two of them. So it's definitely on my mind."

I'm also reminded of The Godfather (amazing book) that inspired the first Godfather film and much of Part II but Part II and III all went beyond the book with ideas that hadn't been previously considered so I think they're definitely trying to figure out how they'd do it? Maybe have season 2 be set in the 1990s? Just as Fleetwood Mac came back together? Or it could also be some of them but not all? Thanks for reading!
