“This is an amazing story and most people have never really heard the background,’’ Huckabee said. “The story is the extraordinary friendship and almost divine encounter.’’
The film, Huckabee said, “brought together some of the top experts on the Cold War, presidential politics and Catholic history to create this visionary new film called ‘The Divine Plan: John Paul II, Ronald Reagan and the Dramatic End to the Cold War.’’
Huckabee, is a former Christian minister and the two-time presidential contender who succeeded Bill Clinton as governor of Arkansas as well as the father of Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Huckabee.
“It could be written as fiction and it would be spellbinding… literally like a Tom Clancy novel,’’ Huckabee said. “But this is the way this really went down. I want every person to go see it: parents, grandparents and especially Millenials. This is a must see film.’’
