Love this Barbara. Thank you! You remind me of Father Mike Schmitz's homily for today. He's looking at what each of us is called to do and he reminds us that a key part is God created us all for a specific purpose, to be in a specific place and do a specific thing. But it's not our accomplishments that matter as much as who we are and who we are called to become. We may feel called to go out into the world and do some great thing (like Jimmy Stewart did in It's a Wonderful Life) but often (like that Jimmy Stewart character) we discover our true calling is to help those people right around us, in our direct sphere of influence. He argues if we do three things (confess our sins, do what we need to do that day and pray) we will find exactly what God wants and needs us to do. Bless you, my friend!
