I think of it this way: There are two ways to win a battle of Tug of War. You can pull the other person over the line, or you can just drop the rope and let them fall to the ground. So I often say, "Drop the Rope."

More often than not (the vast majority actually), they get up, follow you, and say, "Hey, where'd you go? Come back here!"
