It really is that bad. Brute fact is a euphemism, a word used to hide an embarrassing universe sized explanatory hole. And while everyone has some holes in their explanations, let’s be clear about the extent of this hole. Let’s not misrepresent the situation to make everyone think we’re waiting on advances in science to explain it. Or worse, as Krauss does, to misrepresent that physics already has.
