Dorothy Day said we should think of the person we hate most in the entire world and know that hate (the limit of our love) is actually how much we love that person's creator, our Lord. Since hearing that I try to ask myself how I'd respond to a wound if I knew that person was a member of my own family (because actually, they are)!
