Amazing. My greatest memory of Joel Grey was the final episode of “Dallas,” where they did a version of “It’s a Wonderful Life” to show what the world would have been like if J.R. Ewing had never been born.

Joel played the “guardian angel” splendidly, and then at the end, we see the angel is also a demonic fallen angel, and he urges J.R. to shoot himself, saying, “Do it!” I don’t think I can look at Joel without recalling that scene, so it’s all the more jolting to see him with his daughter.
