Agree. Thought his life was a tragedy (who would really want to trade places with him when you see the sad pain he endured) - and yet - several weeks after watching the film, I am still struck by how much he achieved in that time despite all the bad things happening to him. I planned to write one "Elvis" review but wound writing multiple articles because there is so much to say.

I started listening to the SiriusXM Elvis channel before the film and haven't stopped because his work is rather addictive (so much better than the alternatives).

I cringed at the idea of seeing the 1970s portion of the film (and yet most of his life included tragic moments) and yet, I was so moved to see how talented he really was even in his last concert, when he was 42 (and looking 60).

So he definitely made every moment count and for that, I am grateful. Thanks for writing this beautiful essay. You're quite gifted.
